Graduate degree programs in student affairs can range from 33 to 60 semester hours. The length of program does not necessarily indicate the quality of the program. In general, your studies should take approximately two years to complete. The Master of Education in Student Affairs program provides students with a transformative learning experience founded on theory-to-practice. In producing practitioner-scholars, the faculty combine in.
The University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering offers multiple program options to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) or Master of Engineering (M.E.) Students also have the option to continue onto a Ph.D. degree with additional funding and guidance from UF faculty researchers.

Traditional master’s programs are on-campus and range from 30 to 36 credits and take 1.5 to 2 years to complete depending on the specific degree program.
Students in the traditional degree track have unique opportunities to collaborate with faculty and peers on campus.
UF is one of only six universities in the country with colleges of law, medicine, engineering, agriculture and veterinary medicine on one campus, giving students the opportunity to collaborate within multiple disciplines.
Many traditional master’s students are from out-of-state regions and/or international countries. This diversity in thought leadership is essential to shaping the world from a global perspective.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: The Glenn and Deborah Renwick Engineering Scholar Award provides some students $20,000 for non-Florida residents (out-of-state, international) and $10,000 for Florida residents (in-state) towards the completion of an engineering on-campus master’s degree. https://www.eng.ufl.edu/graduate/renwick/
NON-FLORIDA RESIDENT FUNDING: The Academic Achievement Award provides a guaranteed award of $4,500, which is distributed as a partial tuition waiver of $1,500 a semester for up to three semesters. This is open to out-of-state and international students. State of Florida residents are not eligible.
Note that these awards, along with the EDGE Online tuition assistance, CANNOT be combined.
The combined degree program allows undergraduate students who qualify academically to obtain both a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
Combined degree programs allow students to get a head start on their graduate education by taking graduate courses throughout the junior and senior undergraduate years.
Accepted candidates may complete a specific number of graduate-level credits (typically ranging from 12 to 21 hours of approved coursework) while enrolled as an undergraduate. Approved hours satisfy degree requirements for both degrees.
Minimum qualifications for many programs include a 3.2 GPA and a competitive GRE score for admission to graduate school depending on the specific area of study.
TUITION ASSISTANCE: Combined degree candidates who currently hold scholarships (e.g., Florida Bright Futures) may apply a portion of their undergraduate scholarship funding toward the cost of graduate tuition prior to obtaining a bachelor’s degree.

EDGE, which stands for Electronic Delivery of Gator Engineering, offers online master’s degrees from seven of our Gator Engineering departments with multiple degree program tracks (emphasized areas of study) available in these seven majors. Each master’s degree program consists of 10 courses (30 credit hours of coursework).
The master’s degree courses are offered on a semester basis, with various course offerings for the fall, spring, and summer terms.
Master’s degrees can be completed in as little as 24 months. You are free to take as many or as few as your schedule permits each semester. Because the classes are the same ones our on-campus graduate students take, you earn exactly the same degree with absolutely no mention of “distance learning” on your diploma.
UF EDGE also offers engineering graduate certificates which are shorter programs consisting of three to five courses.
These certificates are a good way to expand or refresh some of your engineering skills in a given area if you do not desire a full graduate degree. All degrees and certificates earned are the same high-quality programs on-campus engineering students participate in but can be completed from wherever you live or work.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Reduced tuition rates for accepted EDGE master’s candidates compared to on-campus studies.
