Many different liquid and dry volume conversions. Welcome to OnlineConversion.com. Volume Conversion.
I am a very visual person. It helps me to have a chart when I need to know something. I am sure some of my readers are the same way! So I made a printable chart for when you need to convert Tbsp to cups. (Tbsp is an abbreviation for Tablespoons).

Don’t forget that when you are baking, you will need to make sure to use an appropriate cup. Dry ingredients need a dry measuring cup like the ones here-These are high quality stainless steel so they are a good choice for a non toxic kitchen.
When you are measuring your flour, don’t pack the flour in any way, and don’t tap the cup to try to get the flour level. You will end up with more flour than your recipe is calling for. The best way to measure flour is to gently scoop flour into the cup until it is a little over full and then level the flour with a butter knife. Then you will have a perfect amount of flour for your recipe.
To convert Tablespoons to cups, it is helpful to remember that 8 Tbsp is one half of a cup. Then it is easy to figure that 4 Tbsp will equal 1/4 of a cup and 16 Tbsp will equal a whole cup.
Some measures are harder to figure though. Here are the most common measures. If you would rather have a print version scroll down a little. 🙂
2 tablespoons 1/8 cup
4 tablspoons 1/4 cup
5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon 1/3 cup
8 tablespoons 1/2 cup
10 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons 2/3 cup
12 tablespoons 3/4 cup
16 tablespoons 1 cup
32 tablespoons 2 cups
64 tablespoons 4 cups

I made a handy chart that you can either put in a kitchen binder or hang on the inside of your cabinet. I like to have common measurements taped to the inside of my cabinet door. (I have a cabinet that contains all my baking supplies.) Click here to download the printable chart.
